IPCH World Championship drawings ceremony – 5th March 2022 in Nottwill

The IPCH World Championship is approaching fast, after such a long period of inactivity we are all very eager to see some action on the international level again. In the meantime, preparations continue for both organizers and teams who are willing to be as ready as possible for the big competition Switzerland will host the next August for the first time. The home of the IPCH World Championship in August 2022 will be Nottwil – Sursee, and this is also the place that will host the Drawing Ceremony on the 5th of March.

The 5th IPCH World Championship will be a special competition, not only because it will mark officially the coming back to competition after such a troubled period but also because due to the cancellation of the European Championship in 2020 it will be the first time 10 teams, from 3 continents, will participate in the competition.

The ceremony will take place at 18.00CET at the end of the Swiss National League matchday and will be streamed online on the IPCH Youtube Channel. The drawing ceremony will be performed according to the Competition Regulations by lottery. Teams will be divided into 2 groups of 5 teams each. Italy will be the top seed of group A, as the Winner of the IPCH World Championship 2018, and Denmark, as the runner-up of the IPCH World Championship 2018, will be the top seed of group B. All other teams will be extracted by lottery one per group until the groups are completed.

The ceremony will also feature some commentaries from Team Switzerland athletes and special guests such as Stefan Müller.
