Allocated qualification slots for the IPCH World Championship 2018

IWAS Powerchair Hockey Sport Executive Committee have now allocated the qualification slots for the IPCH world championship 2018 in Italy.

The slots for the IPCH World Championship are allocated based on regions and the world ranking list. If a nation doesn’t want to make use of it’s qualification slot, the next nation on the world ranking list will be invited instead.

The allocated nations for the WC2018 are:

  1. Netherlands (Allocated as the winner of the World Championship 2014)
  2. Italy (The Netherlands is already allocated, therefore Italy will get the first of two slots from the Regional Championship of Europe)
  3. Germany (The Netherlands is already allocated, therefore Germany will get the second slot from the Regional Championship of Europe)
  4. Belgium (No African nations will be participating, therefore Belgium has been invited)
  5. Australia (Oceania region slot)
  6. Japan (Asia region slot)
  7. America (U.S.A. or Canada – Regional Champion still to be decided)
  8. Denmark (No slots needed for the hosting nation, therefore Denmark has been invited on that account)

All the allocated nations have received the official invitation. We are looking forward to announcing the participating nations soon.
