SUMMARY:Flanders Cup 2023
DESCRIPTION:The Flanders Cup organises its sixth edition in May and welcomes 10 teams from all over Europe and Canada. This international powerchair hockey tournament takes place every two years in Belgium. Teams battle on the highest level with the goal of winning the cup and making great memories with their teammates. \nThis edition welcomes impressive teams from Belgium\, Denmark\, Germany\, Finland\, Switzerland\, the Netherlands and even Canada. The national champion of Finland is present\, so are the national teams of Canada and world champion Denmark. To top it off\, a mix team formed with only ladies is taking the stage for the first time. Lastly\, Dutch former internationals are coming back from their sportive retirement to beat the current back to back champion\, WCHG\, who will also be present to defend their title. \nThe Flanders Cup was founded by the late Bryan Vantornhout\, player of Gidos Screamers and former player of the Belgian national team. It was his wish to make the sport more known in Belgium and to bring the top level of powerchair hockey close to home. \nSpectators are welcome in the recreative sports hall of Schiervelde in Roeselare on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 May from 10AM to 5.30PM. \nFor those who cannot attend the games in person\, there will be a livestream. \nClick the linktree to navigate to the event’s social media channels and tournify tournament page.

For the fifth time already\, 12 teams battle on the highest level with the goal of winning the cup and making great memories with their teammates. With the earnings\, sports club GIDOS can support their Powerchair Hockey teams in the heavy costs for this sport.   \nThe Flanders Cup was founded by Bryan Vantornhout\, player of Gidos Screamers and former player of the Belgian national team. Bryan unfortunately passed away last year\, but it was his wish to continue this tournament. We are proud to honor his wish.  \nSpectators are welcome in the recreative sports hall of Schiervelde in Roeselare on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 November from 9AM to 6PM.
