Extension of deadline for QT bidding

The International Powerchair Hockey Committee (IPCH) announces that, as of now, no formal bids have been received to host the Qualification Tournament (QT) for the European region 2027.

This means that some developing nations may risk losing the opportunity to join the pathway toward the European Championship 2028. In order to provide a fair chance for all interested member nations and to ensure the inclusiveness of our sport, IPCH has decided to extend the bidding deadline.

Revised Deadline

  • New deadline for QT bid submissions: 31 October 2025
  • The deadline for the European Championship 2028 remains unchanged: 31 December 2025

Why this extension?

IPCH strongly believes in the importance of giving every nation — especially developing ones — the chance to be part of international competition. This extension is meant to encourage and support more member nations in preparing their proposals to host the QT.

Key Notes for Bidders

  • A Letter of Intent (in English, signed by the national member body or authorized National Powerchair Hockey Organization) is required.
  • It should include information about the Local Organizing Committee, venue(s), accommodation, proposed dates for inspection, preliminary budget, and sponsor plan.
  • Once the Letter of Intent is accepted, IPCH will provide the official Bid Package and further guidance.
