Jury Course & Open Positions – Get Involved!

The International Powerchair Hockey Commission (IPCH) is pleased to share important updates regarding the development of the IPCH Jury structure. Applications are now open for the upcoming IPCH Jury Course.

The role of an IPCH Jury Member is vital in ensuring the smooth conduct of international competitions, as jury members play a significant part in upholding the rules, regulations, and official protocols established by IPCH. The jury holds a pivotal responsibility in safeguarding fair play and the proper administration of matches.

Unlike classifiers, referees, or referee observers, the role of a jury member is open to individuals with a strong passion for Powerchair Hockey who wish to contribute to the sport at an international level and experience competitions from a front-row perspective.

Course Structure:

  • ± 15-minute individual online interview prior to the course
  • ± 2-hour online session on Sunday, March 29th
  • ± 30-minute online examination following the course

Open Voluntary Positions – IPCH Jury Committee

IPCH is also seeking dedicated individuals to strengthen the Jury Committee:

Jury Committee Secretary

  • Strong organizational and English communication skills required
  • Responsible for document management and official correspondence
  • Online meetings
  • Jury license required (or willingness to obtain one)

Jury Committee Training Coordinator / Creator

  • Experience in creating online courses (video/photo-based materials) required
  • Tasked with developing an online self-study platform on Jury duties and regulations
  • Jury license not mandatory, but willingness to complete the course is required

These are voluntary roles offering the opportunity to actively shape the professional standards of international Powerchair Hockey.
