SPORTS CONGRESS 2020

Dear Powerchair Hockey friends,
The Sport Congress 2020 will be held on Monday 8th June 2020, in Pajulahti Olympic and Paralympic Training Centre that will host from 1st to 8th June the IWAS Powerchair Hockey European Championships.
As usual, we invite Sport Congress Delegates to arrive in time to attend the final day of the competition to witness and enjoy the atmosphere of the event and the final matches.

In addition to the ordinary topics on the table IWAS and IPCH Sport Executive Committee have decided to include a new round of elections in this Spot Congress. This is due to the fact that unfortunately 2 SEC members, Niels ten Hagen and Nikolaj Richelsen, due to personal reasons, had to resign from the Sport Executive Committee.
Because of this unforeseen situation, IPCH Spot Executive Committee in agreement with IWAS has decided that, in order to avoid having 2 out of 3 members from the same country (being Italy), Mr Kenny Verbraekeln active as Secretary Officer but with no voting rights within the SEC, as he was not elected during the Sport Congress 2018, became a full member of SEC with full voting rights.
Furthermore, in order to better divide and organize tasks and workload within the elected Officers it was decided to open nomination and election in this Sport Congress as well for the following vacant positions:
– Competition Officer
– Development Officer
– Marketing and Fundraising Officer

We strongly recommend when booking your travel arrangements to be aware of the agenda and the schedule of the meeting and try as much as possible to make sure to be present for the whole program, as this kind of appointments are really important to keep working together and develop our sport and the cooperation internationally.
