IPCH Endorses the 2nd Skorpions International Powerchair Hockey Tournament
The International Powerchair Hockey Committee (IPCH) is happy to announce the endorsement of the upcoming 2nd Skorpions International Tournament, scheduled to take place from August 29 to September 1, 2025, in Besnate (VA), Italy. This tournament celebrates the vibrant spirit of powerchair hockey and honors the legacies of Claudio Carelli, Marco Filomena, and Manuel Romeo.
The event represents an exciting collaboration between the IPCH, the Italian Paralympic Powerchair Sport Federation (FIPPS), the ASD Skorpions Varese Team organization, promising a memorable weekend of competition and community.
Training Opportunities for Officials
As part of our commitment to the growth and development of powerchair hockey, the IPCH will leverage this event to host training opportunities for officials. These programs are currently being fine-tuned and will be officially announced in January 2025. Stay tuned for further details on this exciting initiative.
Tournament Highlights:
- Dates: August 29 – September 1, 2025
- Venue: Palazzetto dello Sport, Via Vittorio Veneto, Besnate (VA), Italy
- Format: 8-team competition following IPCH Game Rules
- Program: Arrival, two match days, finals, and a farewell party
Participation Details:
- Fee: €250 per person, covering accommodation, breakfasts, dinners, and a farewell dinner
- Registration Deadline: January 25, 2025
Teams will be selected based on early confirmations and international representation. Selected teams will be notified by February 1, 2025, with a confirmation fee due by February 28, 2025.
