IPCH Officially Endorses the APHC Camp: A Unique Opportunity for Athletes and Officials
The International Powerchair Hockey (IPCH) is excited to officially endorse the upcoming APHC Camp, which will take place from June 24 to June 30, 2025, at the beautiful Sporta Spot Kempen in Westerlo, Belgium. This dynamic event promises to be an incredible opportunity for athletes, coaches, and officials to enhance their skills, participate in intense training, and engage in competitive action. In addition, the camp will feature a C Licence referee course, offering those interested in becoming certified referees the chance to further their officiating career. More information about the course will be shared in January.
APCH Camp: An Ideal Setting for Learning and Growth
The camp will be hosted at Sporta Spot Kempen, a purpose-built sports facility located in a serene and green environment, perfect for a focused training experience. The venue offers accommodations right next to the sports hall, making it ideal for those participating in the full camp experience.
Athletes will be immersed in an environment designed to enhance their skills, build camaraderie, and foster teamwork, with everything needed for an unforgettable experience conveniently located on-site.
During the camp, there will be a combination of on-field and off-field training sessions, along with practice opportunities, discussions, and analysis supported by coaches, officials, and technical staff. The program also includes several enjoyable social activities dedicated to networking, building friendships, and creating lasting memories.
Summer League: Intense Competition Meets Elite Training
One of the highlights of the APCH Camp is the Summer League – a thrilling competition that brings together intense training sessions and scouting opportunities. Coaches will closely monitor each player’s performance throughout the camp, selecting participants to form balanced teams. These teams will then face off in a high-stakes tournament to claim the prestigious title of Camp Summer League Champions.
The Summer League format is designed to provide maximum excitement and challenge. Here’s how it works:
- The tournament begins with 4 teams, each facing every other team twice over 3 days.
- After the round-robin phase, the top 2 teams will compete in the Gold Final for the championship title.
- The last 2 teams will face off in a Bronze Final to determine third place.
This competition will not only test athletes’ skills and teamwork but will also be an excellent opportunity for scouts and coaches to identify emerging talent for future competitions.
Registrations for athletes are open!
The camp’s registration system offers a month sign-up window. Once registrations are closed, APHC will select the players.
