New Leadership Appointed to IPCH Referee and Observer Committee (ROC)

The International Powerchair Hockey Federation (IPCH) has announced the new leadership of the Referee and Observer Committee (ROC). Under the guidance of Ilkka Siiki, who has been appointed as the Head of the Committee, the ROC aims to further strengthen the officiating standards and contribute to the growth of the sport. Joining Siiki are Kristoffer Storkmark and Kimmo Virtanen.

The ROC will focus on key areas including rule development, referee and observer education, international competition assignments, and regular evaluations to ensure consistency and fairness in officiating across global events. This new leadership is committed to fostering open communication, hosting training opportunities, and offering mentorship to enhance the officiating experience worldwide.

Additionally, the ROC will hold biannual meetings involving all licensed referees and observers to discuss updates on international rules and best practices. The committee also aims to develop a diverse pool of qualified referees from around the globe to continue raising the standard of officiating within Powerchair Hockey.

All IPCH licensed referees have been invited to join the committee and contribute to this exciting new chapter in the development of officiating in Powerchair Hockey.
