Who will become European Champion?

After another day filled with surprises, the final of the European Championship will be a rematch of the opening game of Group A between The Netherlands and Germany. That game delivered a very close first half and it was unsure who would claim the points in the end. After some substitutions on both sides, The Netherlands brought their strongest line-up while Germany went for a more defensive approach. The Dutch found each other blindly and scored one after the other, finally winning the game with 8 to 3.

Both teams ended up winning all their following games, which sees them facing each other again in the final. Germany has gone for a different approach since their loss in the first game and has stuck to that line-up ever since. The Netherlands have been succesful in every line-up they have used. They cannot revert to the line-up that gave them the win in the second half against Germany after some changes in classification points. Though that didn’t seem to limit their abilities at all in today’s semifinal against Denmark.

Today’s semifinals were an exceptional sight. All four games started off exciting, yet in all cases the victor ended up winning by a big difference.
