Call for Nominations: Athletes & Coaches Committee (ACC) Elections (Deadline May 12th)

The IPCH Sport Executive Committee (SEC) is pleased to announce the opening of the nomination process for the Athletes & Coaches Committee (ACC), with elections to be held during the IPCH World Championship 2026 in Lahti, Finland.

Since its launch last year, the ACC plays a vital role in ensuring that the voices of athletes and coaches are represented in the development of Powerchair Hockey. As we continue to strengthen its role within IPCH, we are now inviting member nations to nominate candidates. Athletes will vote to elect three (3) committee members, one of whom will sit on the SEC as the ACC representative, with the remaining members of the committee to be appointed by the SEC to ensure balanced representation and expertise.

Working closely with IPCH and World Abilitysport, the committee contributes to key areas including athlete welfare, competition conditions, and the overall growth of the sport. The ACC gathers feedback from the community, advocates for fair play, and supports initiatives aimed at improving training environments, communication, and athlete experience both on and off the field.

Committee Structure and Role

The ACC consists of five (5) to eight (8) members, including three (3) elected athlete representatives. Following the election, one of the elected members will be selected to serve as the ACC representative on the IPCH Sport Executive Committee. This representative plays an important role in contributing to decision-making processes and representing athlete and coach perspectives at the executive level.
