Switzerland claims second spot in world ranking list after successful IN-JET tournament

After a successful IN-JET Tournament in Jesolo (Italy), Switzerland now ranks second in the world ranking list. This tournament was an opportunity for the national teams of Finland, Italy and Switzerland to fully prepare for the European Championship. Teams could classify new players, give them their first chances on the international field and try out new tactics.

Before and during the competition, IPCH hosted educational opportunities for officials. Many trainees participated in courses for Referees, Referee Observers and Classifiers. We applaud everyone for their commitment to host and participate in these courses. It was a real success and IPCH welcomes new officials to the family:

  • 1 Referee Observer
  • 3 Classifiers with the Junior License
  • 2 Classifiers with the Trainee License
  • 4 Referees with the C-License

Anna Rossi, Technical Delegate of the tournament, looks back satisfied: “the IN-JET tournament was a very good opportunity for the teams as well as for us as IPCH Officials to warm up before the EC by working on our procedures, trying out new tools like the match table software and getting all the good vibes that international competitions can give! The cherry on top was the opportunity to train and educate new Officials which is always needed for the development and the future of the sport!”

IPCH would like to thank the Local Organizing Committee for the great collaboration. This weekend brought a high level of powerchair hockey and promises exciting games for the European Championship later this year.
